Job Search Assistance

At JVS, we can help you with the skills and resources you need to find the right job. Our personalized job search assistance is specially tailored to meet your particular employment needs. We’ve worked with job seekers that truly represent the broad diversity of San Francisco, and we have employer connections in fields from accounting to zoology.

Your work with an Employment Specialist will include:
  • Identifying your goals, work-related skill sets, interests and work environment preferences
  • Discussing updated information on the Bay Area Labor Market and its trends.
  • Identifying any barriers and challenges to employment that you may have, and developing strategies and referrals to overcome them.
  • Creating strategies for developing job leads and employer contacts.
  • Building your skills and strategies for an effective job search, including how to adjust resumes, write customized cover letters and network with employers.
  • Coaching on how to articulate and market your skills and work experience.
  • Advising on how to adjust to a new job and successfully advance in it.
