Program Details
- This is an 11-week training beginning in January 2026
- Students earn $21/hr
- You will receive MR safety training
- You will be prepared to take the California State Certification Exam to work as a DEXA (bone density scanning) technician
Eligibility
- Must be 18 years of age or older and interested in securing meaningful employment with opportunities for economic growth
- Must be able to provide a U.S. high school diploma, GED, or equivalency with translation
- Should have a valid authorization to work in the United States, such as U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or an employment authorization card
- Must have 6 months of work experience

What You’ll Learn
- Core medical practice knowledge, including anatomy, terminology, and insurance
- How to recognize and successfully support patient needs
- Patient information systems training, including scheduling and billing
- MR safety training, including patient care and positioning
- Preparation to take the California State Certification Exam to work as a DEXA (bone density scanning) technician

- Complete the assessment
- Those who pass the assessment will be considered for the interviews for January cohort
