Gabriela Jimenez brings over a decade of experience in government affairs, working on behalf of non-profits and across nearly all levels of government. As the Director of Government and Community Affairs at JVS, Gabriela spearheads the organization’s public policy strategy, working to break down barriers and advance economic opportunity for our jobseekers through policy change.
Before joining JVS, Gabriela served as a Senior Strategist for a Bay Area public affairs firm, where she led strategic initiatives for a broad range of clients. She also held the role of Deputy District Director for Assemblymember Bauer-Kahan, where she played a pivotal role executing key district priorities. Earlier in her career, Gabriela directed statewide grassroots organizing efforts for Eleni Kounalakis' campaign for Lieutenant Governor, driving voter engagement and outreach across the state. She also managed electoral, government, and community relations for Planned Parenthood Northern California, where she championed policy initiatives to protect reproductive rights.
Gabriela holds a B.A. in Political Science from San Francisco State University.
