Growing up in rural Nepal, Rupesh and his neighbors didn’t have access to dental care at his local health clinic. Rupesh realized at an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry, and a friend and fellow JVS alum introduced him to JVS when he moved to the Bay Area as a young adult. Rupesh completed the Foundations in Dental Assisting program in 2022, and he immediately received a job offer for a full-time position at a local dental clinic. A couple of years later and with the encouragement of his employer, Rupesh excelled in JVS’s Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) training in 2024. He now works as a Lead RDA in San Francisco, where he helps people regain their confidence and improve their health.
