Insights from the First Economic Mobility AI Accelerator
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping how people find jobs, build careers, and access economic opportunity. Workforce organizations are being asked to help workers navigate these changes while adapting their own systems, services, and operations in real time.
To help meet this challenge, JVS partnered with Leading Educators, Playlab, and Arathi Ravier Consulting to launch the first Economic Mobility AI Accelerator. Over a three-month cohort, 18 California-based workforce organizations came together to build AI skills, develop practical tools, and explore how AI can strengthen service delivery and advance economic mobility.
The results were significant. Participants reported substantial gains in AI confidence, practical application, and organizational integration, while developing tools to reduce administrative burden, improve participant support, strengthen decision-making, and enhance internal systems.
This report shares key findings, lessons learned, case studies, and recommendations from the Accelerator. It offers an early look at how workforce organizations can responsibly harness AI to improve outcomes for workers, jobseekers, and communities while ensuring that technological change expands opportunity rather than deepens inequities.
We invite you to explore the report and join the conversation about the future of workforce development in an AI-driven economy.
