At JVS Bay Area, we believe in the potential of young people to thrive when equipped with the blend of education, employment opportunities, and support.
Supporting High School & Transition-Aged Young People
We focus on unlocking the potential of high school and transition-aged youth with our comprehensive support programs, and provide them with the guidance, resources, and opportunities to thrive and pave their path to a fulfilling future.
With more than 20 years of dedicated service, we foster strong partnerships with numerous organizations throughout San Francisco. Together, we support young people from 14-24 in gaining valuable work experience, and acquiring the essential skills needed for a successful transition into adulthood with promising career opportunities.
High School Partnerships
In partnership with the San Francisco Unified School District, we offer career awareness, job readiness, and paid work opportunities for high school aged young people at San Francisco at John O’Connell High School, Downtown High School, and George Washington High School.
Through our programs we we integrate classroom learning with real world experience. We understand the unique challenges that students face during their high school years and are dedicated to helping them overcome these obstacles to reach their full potential with opportunities to thrive personally and professionally.

Transition Pathway Programs
Our Transition Pathway programs offer young people aged 18-24 with the tools, mentorship, and opportunities to thrive in their education and future careers.
We partner with employers across San Francisco to help young people build bridges to postsecondary education and careers in early care and education, building construction trades, and environmental technology.
Our Transition Pathway Programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant, providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and guidance to achieve their goals. We take a holistic approach, focusing not only on technical skills development but also on building confidence, resilience, and self-empowerment.
