With more than two decades of leadership experience across workforce development, nonprofit strategy, fundraising, and cross-sector partnership building, Lisa Countryman-Quiroz is a nationally recognized leader shaping the future of workforce development and economic mobility. As CEO of JVS Bay Area, she leads one of California’s most innovative workforce organizations, helping jobseekers, employers, and communities navigate rapid economic and technological change.

Under Lisa’s leadership, JVS has expanded no-cost training programs in healthcare, technology, and skilled trades; strengthened partnerships with employers, government agencies, philanthropy, and educational institutions; and launched new initiatives focused on AI, workforce innovation, and quality jobs with opportunities for advancement. She is currently leading a bold 10-year strategy centered on expanding economic opportunity, scaling workforce innovation, and influencing systems and policy change across California.

Lisa is frequently sought out by national and regional media for her expertise on workforce transformation, skills-first hiring, AI and the future of work, and pathways to quality jobs. She has been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business and one of the Top 100 Newsmakers, and was honored by the Nob Hill Gazette as one of San Francisco’s Most Inspiring Women.
