When Jordan’s son was born, he knew he wanted to build a stable future for his family, but his job as a contractor for an electrician was susceptible to layoffs and seasonal unemployment. He went back to school to complete his GED, then enrolled in IEWorks, JVS’s regional skilled trades program in the Inland Empire. Jordan began an internship at Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA), putting his electrical skills to work while also learning what it takes to build a career in the water industry.
