As a newly single mom, Elise was looking for a way to provide stability and expand opportunities for herself and her child. She enrolled in JVS’s EXCEL training program, offered in partnership with UCSF, gaining vital experience in the healthcare industry to launch her new career. Since that first program, Elise has pursued new training and educational opportunities whenever possible, and she now works as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, returning to UCSF where her healthcare career began.
